Initial Sketches/Concepting
To begin, I started by ideating potential compositions. Strong typography and imagery relating to Zappa's personality and brand were the main focus.
Digital Exploration
Type Exploration
Following the digital experimentation, I felt that I needed to focus more on the typography in order to create a cohesive and strong composition. I selected a typeface and moved into Illustrator to iterate on potential layouts.
Final Direction Iteration
After finding a direction for the typography, I began to iterate on the final direction, with a focus on color palette, and integration of photography.
