JazzFest Branding Redesign

Goal

Redesign the existing branding and visual identity of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, including a logo, and several brand touchpoints.

Branding Audit

Through researching the festival, three important core values can be indentified based on the character and attributes the branding is attempting to represent.

  1. Diversity
  2. Heritage
  3. Innovation

The existing branding of Jazzfest may accurately convey some of these core values, but there exists a notable opportunity for enhancement. While the current logomark, logotype, and auxiliary branding elements do successfully communicate the energy and vibrancy of jazz and New Orleans heritage, it lacks a modern sensibility that would help convey the innovative qualities inherent to the festival as it moves forward in today’s cultural and musical landscape.
